郊
1、(形声。从邑,交声。从“邑”,表示与城郭、行政区域有关。本义:上古时代国都外百里以内的地区称“郊”)。
2、郊区。
郊,距国百里为郊。---《说文》。按,周时距离国都五十里的地方叫近郊,百里的地方叫远郊。
