窗
1、(象形。从穴,囱(cōng)声。“窗”本作“囱”(cōng),小篆字,象天窗形,即在屋上留个洞,可以透光,也可以出烟(后来灶突也叫“囱”)。后加“穴”字头构成形声字。本义:天窗)。
2、同本义。泛指房屋、车船上通气透光的洞口。
