丑
1、(形声。从鬼,酉声。古人以为鬼的面貌最丑,故从鬼。本义:貌丑。按:在古代,“醜”和“丑”是两个字,意义各不相同,除作地支和时辰用“丑”以外,都不能写作“丑”。现在“醜”字简化为“丑”)。
2、可恶。
醜,可恶也。---《说文》
